“Courage is the measure of our heartfelt participation with life, with another, with a community, a work: a future.”

Lesley White, MSW, LICSW

Owner, Clinical Social Worker & Therapist

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker specializing in the intersection of trauma, attachment (how individuals form and maintain relationships), and family systems. I provide individual and couples therapy for adults navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and major life transitions. I am passionate about helping individuals deepen their connection with themselves and enhance the quality of their relationships with others through healing from traumatic experiences, strengthening emotional connections, and cultivating a deeper sense of identity, purpose, and well-being.

One of the most important aspects of therapy is creating a safe and supportive environment where you feel seen and understood - this is where meaningful change happens. From that place of trust, I am trained in a range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques grounded in a trauma-informed and resilience-oriented approach to support your healing and empower you to live with greater courage and authenticity. My therapeutic style is relational, collaborative, and practical, allowing me to meet you where you are as you navigate your unique path toward lasting change.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire. I then completed my master’s degree in clinical social work at Boston University School of Social Work in 2015, where I focused on supporting individuals and families in Massachusetts before returning to the New Hampshire seacoast in 2020. My clinical experience spans a range of healthcare settings, including inpatient and outpatient hospital programs, non-profit organizations, and private practice. I have supported a variety of client needs such as chronic health conditions, serious mental illness, and neurodiverse presentations. I am licensed for independent practice in both New Hampshire and Maine.

As a clinical social worker, I approach this work with deep gratitude and humility, honoring the vulnerability of my clients as they share their stories. This privilege fuels my commitment to supporting their journeys with compassion and respect.

If you have questions or are interested in partnering with me on your journey, I would love to hear from you.
